Do you love snow, but don’t want to be outside in this chilly weather? Check out my Winter Sensory Bin and let your littles enjoy some winter fun inside where it is nice and warm!

Homework and Horseplay’s Winter Sensory Bin

Winter has arrived in full force here in Michigan, and I wanted to create a fun winter themed sensory bin for the littles I babysit to keep them busy while we are doing our school lessons. To create this bin I used:
- White rice
- Foam snowflake and snowman stickers
- Miniature snowman and carolers
- Christmas village house
- Miniature evergreen tree
- Snowflake ornaments
- Blue measuring cups
- Glass Christmas tree candy dish
- Blue spike ball ornaments
I was able to find all of the supplies, other than the ceramic house, for this winter sensory bin at my local Dollar Tree store. I don’t know what I would do without this place!
Helpful Hint:
Purchase a vinyl tablecloth to put on the floor under sensory bins. I have a rule that ALL sensory materials must stay on the tablecloth. This helps prevent a major mess since some sensory materials are quite small. When your child is done playing you can pick up the corners of the tablecloth and pour everything back into the bin. I also highly recommend using a bin with a lid for easier storage.
Thank you for checking out my Winter Sensory Bin…
I hope your children will enjoy some inside winter fun!
