It is that time of year again… The snowing is falling and my house is fully decorated for Christmas. Join me in my Christmas Home Tour | 2018 to see how the Raiche crew decks the halls in our 1890 Victorian home!

Foyer
First up is our foyer. I purchased this beautiful garland from Balsam Hill and tied it to the railing with ribbon. The little tree in the corner is actually the first Christmas tree Ryan and I bought together. It is pretty beat up and tiny, but I can’t bring myself to get rid of it.

Here is one final view from the corner of our family and dining room. The soft glow from the little Christmas tree is so beautiful at night.

Sitting Room
Right off of the foyer there is a door that goes into our sitting room which is soon to be a home library room. Since I am in the middle of redecorating this room (tour to come soon) I don’t have a lot of pictures to share of this space. However, I did want to show it off a little because this is where our main Christmas tree is located in the turret.

That little turret is perfect for a Christmas tree. Our first year here I could hardly wait for Christmas to put one up. This tree is a little on the small side for the space, but with the freshly painted white walls it glows so beautifully in there. I snagged the little rocking horse from a buy, sell, trade site a few years ago. My nieces and nephews love it, and it looks precious by the tree.

Family Room
First just let me apologize for the strange lighting you will see in the next few photos. Unfortunately during the day this room looks lavender, and when I photograph the furniture the fabric looks different than in person. I tried playing around with different lighting, flash on, flash off, and anything else I could think of and the room still looks like a different color in every photo. After Christmas I will be repainting this room even though I just painted it a few months ago. The color just didn’t come out as I expected and it is driving me crazy! Anyways the first photo shows the true fabric color…

Our family room connects to the sitting room with pocket doors. I love the extra detail these doors bring to the space, and also the fact that we can easily separate the rooms when we want. This little chair and ottoman is normally in my master bedroom, but Ryan brought it down for me so I can sit closer to the fire. I know it is in kind of a strange spot, but it gets moved around all of the time depending on what we are doing.

I am usually all about adding decorations to the tree, but this Frosted Alpine Balsam Fir from Balsam Hill is so beautiful. Covering the tree with a bunch of ornaments would have taken away the whimsical look I love about it.

And may I just talk about how cute this little red car pillow cover is? This was part of a set of 4 covers (you have probably seen the others scattered throughout this tour) that I found on Amazon for about $18. This one is by far my favorite though.

The family room opens up into the dining room and has a corner fireplace. This is the original wood burning fireplace, and if you follow me on Instagram you probably have seen me curled up in front of it with a book a million times by now.

The Farm Fresh Christmas Trees sign from Oh Sweet Skye is exactly what the big wall behind our sectional needed. I definitely would purchase from this company again. The sign is beautifully made and arrived very quickly. Word of caution – this sign is super heavy! I shouldn’t have been surprised though because it is made of real wood and is massive.

Dining Room
The dining room is in the center of our house and without a doubt was the selling feature for me when we took our first tour. There is just so much detail in here with the unique flooring, built-ins, crown molding, and fireplace.

I hung our stockings on this mantle because we use the wood burning fireplace all of the time, and I didn’t want to chance burning down our house (ha)!

A new addition to our Christmas decor this year are the cute little mason jar center pieces. I filled each of the jars about half way with epsom salt. Then I added candles to the small jars and fake cranberries to the large jars. I absolutely love how these turned out.

I also added a few Christmas pieces to the built-ins.

Kitchen
The kitchen is at the back of our house. I recently repainted the kitchen, and did not add a lot of Christmas decorations in here. Just a few wreaths in the windows above the sink and a kissing ball above the window seat.

Before I painted our kitchen I hated looking straight from the foyer own into the kitchen because of the ugly orange walls… Now with the fresh white paint it is one of my favorite view!

Powder Room
Right off of the kitchen we have a powder room. I like to add just a few Christmas touches in here for when guests come over. Please forgive me for the terrible photo, but getting a photo without my reflection in the mirror was almost impossible. I just love the garland on top of the mirror. It warms the space up so much!

Hallway
This year our upstairs hallway got the royal treatment… I bought all these beautiful wreaths to go on my second floor windows, but it proved to be more of a challenge to hang them than I expected so I moved on to plan b. I can’t even be upset because this hallway of wreaths is breath taking! You can’t see them because of where I am standing, but there are two doors behind me with wreaths on them as well.

Master Bedroom
The final space I am going to show to you today is my master bedroom. I have slowly been repainting and decorating our home (it only took me 3 years to get started), and all of the white walls make me insanely happy. The french doors close in the matching turret room from downstairs, and I just moved my office in there so I could be surrounded by Christmas while working on my blog.

Like most of the rooms in our house we have extra built-in shelves behind our door. These little shelves are perfect for keeping a few books and my felt board.

I was super excited when my husband told me I should purchase a tree for our room. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I am a Christmas fanatic. I literally start decorating my house on November 1st. I have wanted a tree for my room for awhile now, but it just wasn’t in the budget until now. This tree is from Shopko, and I didn’t decorate it because the berries, snow, and pinecones are so beautiful on their own.

Thank you for joining me in my Christmas Home Tour | 2018…
I hope you enjoyed the tour. Merry Christmas to all of you and your families from! Here’s one final picture for you… Henry loves Christmas almost as much as I do!
