What did Jack think of the Link4Fun Food Cards?
Of all of the items that we received from Stages Learning Materials, Jack was least excited about these cards. A number of the activities were easy enough for Jack to complete, but there were a few that he struggled with such as the “hear & find words” portion. Jack’s biggest struggle in school is reading, and because he knows it is hard for him to do he is very resistant to all things reading. With that said, he did eventually warm up to using these flashcards and was excited when he got the correct answers.

Homework and Horseplay’s final thoughts…
I believe the Link4Fun Food Cards 3-in-1 Learning Library is a great product for a wide range of ages. It has activities that children as young as 3 could complete all the way up to the point of a child being able to read comfortably on their own. Since Jack struggles so much with reading I love having another activity for him to complete so he can build up his reading skills. One of his biggest complaints in the beginning was that he didn’t have enough time to find the words before it was prompting him to move on. Although it was hard to see him get frustrated, that “time crunch” was a good thing because it pushed him to work at a quicker pace. I have seen a huge improvement with him being able to recognize and read these food words. I look forward to continuing to use the Link4Fun Food Cards 3-in-1 Learning Library with Jack throughout the school year, and I hope before too long he will be able to read all of these words with no problem!
